internacional sobre bioelectromagnetismo
ALCALA DE HENARES, 11 (EUROPA PRESS)
El consejero de Sanidad, José Ignacio Echániz, inauguró hoy el
congreso internacional sobre "Bioelectromagnetismo: Ciencia, Medicina y
progreso", que se celebra en la Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, y en
el que participan más de 200 congresistas, entre los que se encuentran
médicos, biólogos, ingenieros y profesores universitarios.
En su intervención, Echániz hizo especial hincapié sobre la historia
de esta ciencia en su doble vertiente como herramienta
diagnóstico-terapéutica y como ciencia medioambiental, y destacó el
carácter multidisciplinar de esta materia que ha congregado a un grupo
heterogéneo de científicos.
Insistió el consejero en la proyección internacional de este centro
investigador que durante diez años de existencia ha conseguido diez
patentes en materia de bioelectromagnetismo, bajo la dirección del
profesor Bardasano, director del departamento de Especialidades Médicas
de la Universidad de Alcalá. |

EXPERTO DENUNCIA LOS RIESGOS DE LA RADIACION TELEFONOS MOVILES
Alcalá de Henares, 12 nov (EFE).- Los riesgos para la salud de la
radiación electromagnética de los teléfonos móviles "están por
determinar", indicó hoy el ingeniero Manuel Muntané, aunque aseguró que
el deterioro de "la permeabilidad cerebral que produce está demostrada
desde hace 27 años por un estudio ruso".
"Los verdaderos riesgos que tienen para la salud la radiación
electromagnética de la telefonía móvil se desconocen y nunca se tendría
que haber lanzado al mercado sin que existiera un estudio sobre sus
riesgos reales" dijo Muntané en entrevista con Efe.
Muntané intervino hoy en el congreso internacional de
Bioelectromagnetismo, que se celebra desde ayer en la Universidad de
Alcalá y que concluye esta tarde.
Este ingeniero e investigador denunció la "laguna legal hermética"
que existe al respecto en Europa y que "deja sin protección a los
ciudadanos".
"Con la información que proporciona la Comisión Europea no se puede
definir ningún grado de riesgo, porque limita la atención legal y
técnica a una unidad de medición del calentamiento que no sirve para
determinar los riesgos sanitarios por alteraciones no térmicas, como el
cáncer, que es lo que más nos preocupa".
La propuesta de Muntané es que la reglamentación europea "considere
la unidad de potencia que si permite medir el riesgo sanitario".
Por ejemplo, si se mide por emisión de calentamiento una estación
repetidora de telefonía móvil el alcance de la radiación es de dos
metros, mientras que si se mide por densidad de potencia es de 30
kilómetros, explicó.
Para este experto,"los riesgos sanitarios de la telefonía móvil son
a largo plazo", aunque "un teléfono móvil, pegado a una oreja humana
-agregó- emite sobre la persona una radiación que supera tres millones
de veces la solar", aseveró.
Muntané comenzó a investigar los peligros que la radiación
electromagnética que la telefonía móvil causa en la salud humana por un
problema personal, ya que su domicilio se encuentra a tan solo cinco
metros de una estación repetidora que "de momento, produce unos dolores
inmediatos", dijo.
El desconocimiento general sobre la materia y la laguna legal
existente al respecto fueron los primeros escollos con los que se topo
Muntané, quien ha conseguido que su ayuntamiento el de San Cugat del
Valles ordene la retirada de la estación repetidora. EFE
