........NAFTA or MAI are pretty much the same..... Both are created
by the intenational corporations to overcome the power (sovereignty)
of local governments..... They deny local citizens the benefit of their
citizenship by imposing a super-state (NAFTA or MAI) over the local
national government.....
These international corporations (the telecom being among the biggest and
worse) are determined to live and operate in an international system that
rises above the ordinary nation-states..... THEIR GOAL is that they not
be subject to the laws of any nation-state!!! The 'rules' that NAFTA or
MAI impose on Canada, for insatance, would affect your environment, your
labor laws, your banking system, etc..... And Canada nor the Canadians,
themselves, would be able to do anything about it.....
I cannot imagine that ANY "local" politician would sell-out his country
(his constituents) and turn his people over to those big,
supra-national-corporation-states ... who have no loyalty to ANY nation
except their own $$$$$$$$$.
Connie Fogal, MAI-NO, is waging the fight against them..... She is a
loyal Canadian..... Pat Buchanan is leading the fight in the U.S. I
have some difficulties with the thought of Pat as our President, but he
will surely carry THIS FIGHT (against the supra-corporations) into the
public consciousness..... That's good, because most Americans are hardly
aware of what is happening on this issue..... As long as the Americans
have a job, their ball games, and WALL STREET is going up ... they do
not pay any attention to such matters as the loss of their sovereignty ...
or their freedom....... America today has SOME aspects that are similar
to the Germany of 1938.....
Thanks for your message, Hans, but I am not going to do any follow up
messages on this subject. It is only marginally related to EMF -- and
with the Lookout Mountain developments, we must focus our attention on
EMF..... The constitutional challenge that is shaping up there is
almost as important to the future freedom of most Americans, though they
do not yet realize it....
I believe the TV and telecom interests made a major mistake, though, by
challenging those folks on LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN..... They are organized.
They are unified. They have the 'law' on their side..... But most of all
-- they have 'THE FACTS' on their side.....
(Only the pro-industry Denver Post is against them..... They must learn
to "spread the word" via their own innovative means..... Today in
America, the "press," and most TV, is not the vaunted "free press" of our
historic past.... It is "owned" by the same corporations who seek to
impose the rules of NAFTA and MAI on the world.....)

I hope everyone in your list is aware about the possible consequences of
MAI (Multilateral Agreement on Investment).
MAI is NAFTA on steroids!
MAI was modeled on NAFTA to harmonize investment standards in the rest of
the world with North America.
NAFTA entitles companies to sue governments they believe to be raising
unfair barriers to trade. This would be in the case if the Canadian
Government would put -by law- tough regulations on cellular
towers'/phones' microwave emissions. In that case the Canadian Government
could be sued for "expropriation" of the US company's "property" (namely
its anticipated profits) and the "damage" to its "good reputation" caused
by the Canadian parliamentary debate.
As happened with the Ethyl Corporation, which sued the Canadian Government
when Canada banned MMT (a toxic fuel additive). The U.S. Ethyl Corporation
took its suit to NAFTA, where a secret tribunal, whose records are NOT
disclosed and whose decisions CANNOT be appealed, began to assess the case.
The Canadian Government, realizing that its chances of success were
approximately zero, settled with Ethyl. It agreed to allow the corporation
to resume the sales of MMT in Canada! It agreed to pay Ethyl $13 million in
compensation! It agreed, too, to mislead its citizens -it announced that
"MMT poses no health risk".
The NAFTA rules allowing the Ethyl Corporation to sue the Canadian
government are almost identical to the provisions of the MAI..
Is NAFTA (and then later MAI) the reason, why the government authorities
are hesitating to admit the health hazards of microwaves, thus hesitating
to pass regulations? Here again: $$$$ counts, never mind the citizens
falling dead!
MAI will be THE threat to the basic human rights, protection of workers,
consumers and the environmnet. MAI -like NAFTA now- is overruling any
country's sovereignty!
