Bob,

We measured magnetic fields in a number of cars  (research is still
ongoing) and found that some models have high fields as you suggest.  It
has nothing to do with the tires but rather with the alternator and the
motor.

Generally, the larger the car the lower the magnetic field for the driver
and front seat passenger since there is more space between the person and
the engine.  However, larger cars tend to consume more fuel and that brings
all sorts of other environmental concerns into play.

We hope to have our study available by April 2001 and will alert emfguru then.
