Are there more products from different companies on the market that do the
same?
================================
I went to the Microshield WEB site. I found it long on words and short on a
description of exactly, physically, what the gadget is.
Does it completely surrond the atennaonjust a shield on the person's heead
side so the phone can still operate?
===================================
Does everyone agreed with all the facts as stated on the Microshield site.
===================================
It just seems strange to me that if it does all that is claimed it would more
prominent than just a commercial WEB site. Is it widely known of?
=================================
1) I assume since Alasdair sent us there he is in favor of the gadget.
Could he or anyone else clarify how the gadget shields 99% and allows the cell
phone to operate at the same time. Also an opinion on the shield concept in
general as it is applied here.
=============================
2) In reference to the polling that the cell phone broadcasts while in the
standby/ receive mode, could someone provide a range of time values amoung the
various systems of how often the polling is done.
Also for how long of time period is each signal sent?
==========================
3) I understand the the power level that a cell phone broadcasts at at any
given time is dependent on the strength of the signal received at the tower
being used. Thus if one used a cell phone inside a car the signal received at
the tower would be weakened by the shielding of the metal vehicle and thus
the phone would turn up its power level. In addition there would be
reflections inside the car thus increasing exposure.. Do I have these facts
straight?
=======================================
4) If one used an external antenna placed at the center of the trunk lid
wouldn't you still get exposure through the window? Thus the only "good"
antenna position would be on the car roof where there would be metal between
the person nd the antenna. True?
