Subject: "Antenna Farm"-FCC stops complying with Federal laws
The FCC and the broadcasters take the position that once one or more towers
are up in the area, it has become an "antenna farm" Thereafter, the FCC says
that NEPA(National Environmental Protection Act, Historic Preservation Act,
Endangered Species Act, etc. do not apply to an "antenna farm." This is
exactly the position both the FCC and broadcasters have taken regarding
Lookout Mt. The FCC is "reconsidering" its decision that the Historic
Preservation Act does not apply after the Don Klima of the Advisory Council on
Historic Preservation sent in a letter. We are awaiting the FCC decision.
