Subject: Call to Protect Program an inducement to go wireless

Roy: This latest marketing strategy to sell wireless technology using the
"face" and reputation of a member of Congress is a particularly distasteful
ruse. A project of the Wireless Foundation specializing in corporate
philanthropy for workers, especially social workers and teachers. Rosa
Delauro strikes me as a Congresswoman who would not go for this if she
understood the health concerns being raised by many on this list. Other
members of Congress who participated in this "CALL to PROTECT Day - last
friday, include Congressman Ken Bentsen (D-Tx), Congressman John Dingell
(D-Mich.) and Barbara Cubin (R-Wy)

roy:

This rpogram, which benefits victims of domestic violence, is also an
inducement to market cell phones. Apparently, many members of Congress
participate in this program last friday, October 8 across the country.
