Dear Roy,
My wife is chemically and electrically sensitive. She reacts to most kinds
of scents in soaps, laundry detergents, hair sprays, deodorants, shampoos,
as well as cleaning chemical, scented aerosols, formaldehyde, photographic
processing chemicals, etc. She also has problems with refrigerator and fan
motors, fluorescent lights, electric clothes dryer, and cannot use the phone
at all (all types). She has also been diagnosed as silent Celiac Spru. We
have already turned off the electricity in the bedroom at night, turned off
the refrigerator during the day, (we use the one in the basement), switched
to non-fluorescent lighting, buy all non-scented special products etc. My
wife avoids all scents. We buy only organic foods and my wife is on
extensive vitamins and supplements under the guidance of a nutritionist. She
uses the services of an acupuncturist and practices Chi Gong. She is
considering the possible use of a micro biotic diet. My wife reacts with
severity to the use of any type of telephone and no longer uses it. Her
electrical sensitivity seems to be progressive while the chemical
sensitivity seems to be stabilized. I am e-mailing you to ask if you could
provide any information regarding the following items;
* Possible therapies or treatments for electrical (Electro magnetic)
and chemical sensitivity (not already using as listed above), along with the
possible risks, of each therapy. Please also provide if possible the
duration of time required for the treatments, locations available (USA and
Europe), and the approximate cost of the therapy.
* Benefits and risks involved in homeopathic therapy and which types.
* Any studies that indicate the cure rate (worse, same or better,
completely cured) of specific therapies that also indicate the severity of
the electrical or chemical sensitivity and other therapies already used or
used in conjunction with the specific therapy as well as the inherent risks.
* The benefits and risks involved with the removal of gold crowns (3)
and one root canal as well as precautions to take.
* The benefits and risks involved with the removal of amalgams as
wellas precautions to take..
* The best possible areas of the country (East, central and west)
(mountain, plains, or ocean) to live in considering the electrical and
chemical sensitivity.
* Ways to make living accommodations the least electrically and
chemically provocative.
* Do certain frequencies come from the phone that could be
sensitizing? What are they? Any suggestion on how to use a phone (special
devices or desensitizing). We have tried a speaker phone and it is worse.
* Could avoidance alone cure electrical sensitivity?
* Other contacts that might help.
Time is of the essence to avoid furtherance of the ES. Please provide any
information you can.
