Chris, and of course Roy and all:

referring to your question, Chris, (see below) which refers to my recent
letter to the Editor ("Cellular phones save lives? Think again!) I received
the following answer from Walt McGinnis:

If you find anything else or more, please forward to Roy's list.
Hans.

Hi Hans, You can get your hands on the Motorolla study at a public library.
New England Journal of Medicine,Feb. 13 1997. vol336 #7, page 453. As usual
pay close attention to the data and not the contradictory conclusions.
Chris and I deduced that EM Radiation, by causing impaired brain function,
resulted in more accidents for cell phone using drivers.
As for the stats on mortality in cities that activated cell phone networks,
they were taken from Dr. Andrew Michroski's paper to the Royal Society of
Canada. The origional source is Arthur Firstenberg's book "Microwaving Our
Planet". Call Milt Bowling at 604 436 2152. He can get you the book. Also
we suggest reading the Oct edition of Alive magazine, Firstenberg has an
article, page 96.

Keep up the great work Hans, and sorry about our sparce correspondence.

Walt and Chris
