I agree -- thoroughly -- with Frank.  The days in which 'elites' control
what is supposedly 'peer' review, are at an end.

[.......I think "elites" is a generous word.....  Some of the scientists
who have spoken about this problem to me have used "conflict of interest
'whores'".........guru......]

Case in point:  The work of Dr. Wm. F. Koch (who appears to have come up
with a cure for cancer in the 1920's) has become available -- thanks not
to "the good scientific journals", and not to "the heroic efforts of
investigative journalists", but to Internet and the Koch family.  The
material is now published, on the Web, at:
