Hi all,
Strange but true, I have tried to get an answer out of all of the parties 
involved in the planning application but I cannot get an answer out of anyone.
Rumours abound (not enough financial incentive, residential outrage, personal 
threats) but no facts are available except the important one that the 
application has been withdrawn....... OH YES.
As to what I did, well it was not much really. Once the planning application 
was seen in the local newspaper, strangely the notice outside the premisis 
had "blown away", I went and got copies of the planning application. I then 
went and visited every house within sight of the planned site and showed them 
the information that I had gathered. Almost without exception, (one person), 
people were outraged that yet another application was being submitted. All of 
the people I visited said they would write letters to the Chief Planning 
Officer. It was at this point (10 days-ish) of the planning application that 
I was notified that it had been withdrawn. If you want copies of the flier 
that i did or the letter that I submitted just send me your email address and 
I will be only too hapy to send them. As I said at the beginning, I did not 
do much, in comparison to some of the stories that I have read. Good luck to 
you all in creating a safer environment for everyone.
