Subject: Need help in our fight against Public Service

I live in a small Colorado town (LOUISVILLE) situated next to Boulder .
Public Serive (our utility company) is planning to upgrade the transmission
line that runs through our neighbourhood and past 2 schools. The residents
have rallied and so far have managed to delay it in the city council and
planning commission for 6 months.
Public Service has offered to bury the line if we come up with 8 million. It
will take 15 months to get the issue on the city ballot to ask if the
citizens want to issue bonds for this purpose. Public Service had agreed to
this wait and then suddenly revoked the offer and is basically trying to
force the city to accept their application for the above ground upgrade.

The next step will likely be that the city will deny the permit and then it
will be appealed by public service to the PUC.
- Can you offer any help in our fight against this upgrade -
suggestions/sources/emf standards?
- My house is 2 down for the line and we have readings of 2-2.5 mG currently.
We have 2 young children, would you conider the current level acceptable?
- Is the utility company accountable for the EMF's they project? What
recourse do we have should they exceed their projected numbers? How can we
question their calculations?
- Would you be willing to speak at a PUC (public utility commission) hearing
should the appeal go through?
thank you.
