.......Hope some of you will provide Gary with MAX support on
this.......I particularly wonder about the telecom company's
refusal (even!) to allow warning signs on their towers.....They
do not own the property site (only their tower).....My attorney
has told me that I can place warning signs on my property --
provided that I have reasonably good cause to believe there is
need for one.....Bill???.......guru......

Dear friends,
Last night FACTS went before one of many city review boards in the
efforts to craft a tower ordinance in the City of Boca Raton. We have had
success
in the past with the county and other surrounding local government.
Bell South and Nextel were representing industry.

I must first let you know that the City of Boca Raton is a bit snobby when
it
comes to aesthetic issues. For example: The McDonalds at the
Crocker Center has marble flooring and get this is not allowed the golden
arches.
The industry has managed to placed roof tops in the city and their are few
towers present.
The industry is in for tough time we hope. They have placed two towers at
area schools that the city is fighting them on to remove(Bell South) .

Round one, which was the first debate from the public and Industry went
pretty well but their is a long way to go.One issue I wish to share is the
issue of signage. The industry attorney went
ballistic at our request that each and every tower (especially Stealth) be
marked/&
labeled with sign indicating electrical and EMR warnings. They will fight us
tooth
and nail on this issue. We wish to receive any documents/ laws/ or
information
showing why this should be done, where it is being done, and also the name
of any
individuals that perform tower emission testing that might send us a line or
two
why in their professional opinion this is important. Of course I know why
but
it is important that I have documentation showing our local government,
documentation indicating this.
 Thanks- Gary- FACTS-Florida
