The Washington state aluminum workers show increased mortality from leukemia and non-Hodgkins lymphoma, abnormal immune system phenotypes, and in carbon setters, abnormal sex ratio of offspring. Near the pots in the potrooms, the average static magnetic field is about 100 Gauss, but there also is a 100 mG AC field in the same area do to incomplete rectification of the incoming alternating current.
