...yes busy farmer Hans sometimes checks out the emfguru messages,
especially now, another deadline to meet regarding our local
transmission line struggle...
Let me briefly report, 'cause I am still in my peak haevesting season.
After the day public hearing (asked by just a lady and myself) with
about 2/3 of the hearing being delt with the EMF issue, we two
intervenors sent of each a lenghty final argument and the elctric
utility company West Kootenay Power (WKP) sent in theirs. The B.C.
Utilities Commission (BCUC) released their decision, according to which
we won 50%of our goal. However, I am not satsfied, BCUC has not a bit
considered the EMF issue in their decision,I have testified and
presented some of the important evidences I received through emfguru,
Bert, Don and you. Now in the meantime NIEHS has decided EMFs to be
"possible human carcinogen", which report I will specially make the main
reason for appealing BCUC's decision, to make sure that with every
future WKP and other B.C. electric utilities companies application for
rebuilding of old lines or construction of new lines that they inform
the general public (especially the affected adjacent residents) about
the emanating EMFs which may be harmful. I have tested some of the
houses close to the proposed rebuild line, one house has a reading of
5.5 to 6.5 mG in both the children's bedroom, which are paralelle to the
old existing 63 kV transmission line and 12 kV distribution line at the
same poles and only about 30 feet away of centre of
transmission/distribution line!
It is just to bad that I an still fighting single handed, the general
public are ignorant and the the poor children innoscent.
Here again I see it very important to inform the public with regular
letters to the editors of local newspapers, but in holday's time you
hardly catch attention and if so, they soon forget what they just read.

In fall I'll give a good report and my personal opinion about the whole
EMF-issue here in BC. It was my first appearance as an registered
intervenor, not prepared at all, just with some clippings anbd articles
from you all,...and after the second day I learned so much, first of
all, that I/we might loose in this battle this time (but contrary to my
expectation we won 50%)and secondly I commited myself to take part in
any other future WKP application in its service aerea (within reasonable
distance for me and/depending my time)in order to learn to present my
stand better and stronger, until BCUC is changing it's old EMF stance
(which is ..."there is no conclusive evidence in the scientific
body..."as you know.
Please let me know of any new reports or scientific position, ...I have
only 4 days left to prepare my appeal.
Remember, if I together with you all in the emfguru group can make BCUC
change their EMF position, ...this undoubtly will have an chain reaction
to the rest of Canada (meaning the other provinces as well!).

I contacted Robert Riedlinger and he visited me, he is fighting really
hard regarding the cell tower issue, he is a live sample what cell
towers can do to humans, I just can't beleive- but have to- what he has
gone through when he retired into a new home about 400 feet away from a
big celltower!
Ernie Measures, whom I gave all the info via emfguru re cell towers,
...successfully prevented the errection of 2 celltowers in proximity of
the University of Victoria/Vancouver Island..., Victoria is getting very
alert ...and I hope that Old Ernie is chasing the towers off the
island!!!..we will report about this in fall, please be patient.
