Subject: EMF-L CALL TO ACTION ! ! ! !

Dear Roy et al,

Perhaps a CALL TO ACTION is an idea whose time has come! Collectively, we
are a world-wide collection of people dedicated to exposing the dangers of
EMFs. Let us co-ordinate our efforts in one interesting experiment -- NOW!
 HOW ABOUT IT, GANG?

As per EMFguru's posting of August 7, 1998, we were apprised of the
formation of an Expert Panel on Radio-frequency Fields as part of the
efforts of The Royal Society of Canada, requested by Health Canada. The
Panel's mandate is well spelled out in the Press Release. They are looking
for input. SO, LET'S GIVE IT TO THEM!

My suggestion is this: All members of EMFguru's List who have pertinent,
scientific information about the effects of EMFs could forward to the Panel
books, papers, e-mailings, etc., for the Panel's information [Address,
phone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, etc., below].

In my examples, I may not mention all those whose articles, books, and
scientific papers might be of use. For this I apologize. However, here
are a few of my suggestions (in no particular order):

1. Mike Milburn and Maren Oelbermann, why not send a copy of your book,
"Electromagnetic Fields and Your Health," plus any of your research papers?
2.Richard Woodley, do print up and forward a copy of Bridlewood's extensive
bibliography, plus some of your editorials and other stories. They should
probably have your report on the recent WHO conference in Ottawa.
3. Roy Beavers, could you forward copies of some of your observations and
comments as posted on www.feb.se/?
4. Louis Slesin, could you send copies of what you consider to be the most
pertinent articles MICROWAVE NEWS has published on the subject?
5. Don Maisch, you could send copies of your writings and Newsletter.
6. Robert Liburdy, your studies would be most useful to the Panel.
7. Kjell Hansson Mild, your findings should be sent.
8. Alasdair Philips certainly should be heard. In fact, I am forwarding
his GSM article to the Panel, today. Alasdair, do send other information.
9. Clas Tegenfeldt, you probably have lots of good material you could share
with the Panel from Sweden.
10. John Goldsmith, let's let the Panel have your findings and comments
from Israel.
11. Roger Coghill, do send your ideas along.
12. Neil Cherry, please send them your "Potential and Actual Adverse
Effects of radiofrequency and Microwave Radiation Levels Near and Below 2
microwatts per square centimetre." And don't forget to forward other
pertinent material.
13. Cindy Sage, your Sage Associates "Epidemiology for Decisionmakers: A
Visual Guide to Residential and Occupational EMF Epidemiological Results,"
would be a valuable donation to the Panel. Of course, other materials
could also be sent.
14. And can we have materials from EMR Alliance sent along? Perhaps some
back issues of the magazine, NETWORK NEWS.
15. Henry Lai, do send along some of your findings, as published.
16. Sam Milham, your gathered information should be part of the Panel's
resources.

The above list is far from complete. If anyone on EMFguru's List has good,
scientific evidence of harmful effects of EMFs, do send those observations
to the Panel. Or, if you have information about other resources by
researchers not on the List, perhaps you could volunteer to donate a copy
of such resource(s).

We have heard from many sources that some so-called expert panels call only
those witnesses the panels want to hear from. My suggestion is, let's pour
what information we have into this one research project, NOW, and see what
transpires. We might have a most significant impact on the world!

Later, I might suggest that we all send similar pieces of information to
Presidents, Prime Ministers, Health Ministers, Premiers, Governors, etc.
WE might be able to shift such misinformation as presented recently by Glen
Clark, Premier of the Province of British Columbia, who wrote recently to
one of our members, "I'm sorry to hear about your health problems, but I
can assure you they're not likely caused by the microwave tower near your
home.

In fact, living near a microwave tower is safer than standing near a
microwave oven.

Scientific research in Canada and around the world has shown
electromagnetic fields around such towers don't cause adverse health
effects on nearby residents."

And here's a quote form an MD advisor to our Veterans Affairs Review and
Appeal Board: "RADAR, which is a radio frequency detecting system -- Radio
Detecting And Ranging has no melanoma producing properties and is not
considered a cause for melanoma." We know that because of good, solid
evidence I presented to the Board from the Internet, and in particular from
Dr Stanislaw Szmigielski and Dr Sam Milham, that the Board eventually ruled
in my favour.

I BELIEVE THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF EMFguru's LIST, CAN MAKE A BIG
DIFFERENCE, ESPECIALLY IF WE POOL OUR RESOURCES! Right now, we tend to
share much of our information among ourselves -- i.e., we are "preaching to
the converted." Let's move out into the main arena and present our ideas
to those decision-makers who can influence THE DECISION-MAKERS.

For the personal costs of a book or two, or the printing of some documents
and sending them by express post; or, for the personal inconvenience of
faxing or e-mailing some materials to the Panel, I believe we can make a
huge impression on the Panel members. Let's give it a try. We have
nothing to lose, but much to gain.

Here is who to contact: Expert Panel on Radio-frequency Fields

All the best,
