sends the following.  I have filled in the name she forgot.  (Her "old
dad" remembers.......guru......

It strikes me that there is something important in the examples of
Presidential hypocrisy she mentions......guru

Danasan,

Another valid point to your argument that the adultery is not the
critical issue we should focus on ... is the precedence set in the court
martial of the B-52 pilot (her name escapes me) [Lt. Flynn] for lying and
covering up her affair with the husband (she being single at the time) of
an enlisted woman's husband.  

In Lt. Flynn's case, she was dismissed ... ostensibly for the lying and
disobeying a direct order.  [President Clinton was her "Commander in
Chief" at the time.....guru...]  [It is the Commander in Chief, the
President, who approves all these actions....guru....]

In other adultery cases in the military of high ranking officers, the
generals are not court martialed but are essentially given a slap on the
wrist.  I am sure you are much more familiar with these cases than I am as
I did not follow them closely.  

[However, Leslie, everyone of them lost his job.  Was dismissed or retired
from service.....guru....  Again, President Clinton was the "Commander in
Chief" at the time.....He approved all these decisions.....He did
not make the exceptions for these officers that he now expects
from the American people.....guru...]

I guess my point is, if were going to hold someone in so small a job as
a female pilot to these high ethical standards (as we should), we had
better hold their boss (and all public officials) to those same high
standards.
