Dear Roy,
The Strom case mentioned by Richard Woodley was due to electromagnetic
pulse radiation ( EMP). Strom worked at Boeing and was exposed to thousands
of EMP pulses in the course of trying to harden flight deck avionics to
EMP.He developed chronic myelocytic leukemia. What caused Boeing to settle
the case was that the same rare leukemia turned up in three men in a small
group working on a Boeing contract who were exposed to EMP at a missle site
in Cascade Montana. They were exposed by a helicopter-borne EMP generator.
Strom's exposure was to a EMP generator that he built.
