I guess I can understand Michael J. Fox's indifference to offers of
"help"..... He is probably "buried" in such offers......guru.....

...and (perhaps) all the other Institutes and Societies we could easily
think of. :-)

Betty Martini's work has led to conversations with the Multiple
Sclerosis folks and the Diabetes folks, that turned out much the same.

In particular, she's found the ADAs (American Diabetes Association, and
American Dietitians Association) respond to questions or accusations
about aspartame with statements known to derive from literature printed
up by Monsanto et al. on the wonderfulness and safety of aspartame. At
the least, this is a "we believe the 'party line'" phenomenon.

Many years ago -- 10, 20? -- I remember Jerry Lewis stating, during his
yearly telethon, that he believed the cure for Muscular Dystrophy was
then very, very close. He indicated there was 'breakthrough'
information, and he appeared genuinely excited, as though he could see
his yearly 'mission' might be at last bearing fruit and coming to an
end.

What happened to that? I have no actual details, but one plausible
scenario would be that he was referring to information showing a
connection between dietary factors and/or mercury exposures were what
was causing MD -- neither of which would lead to any new, patentable
drugs, of course.

More recently, Betty Martini's been frantically trying to get word to
Michael J. Fox, about the observed connection between aspartame and
Parkinsons-like symptoms (as it's said Fox was seldom seen in recent
years without a diet soft drink in hand or nearby). Either no way has
been found yet to 'get through' to Fox, or else he disbelieves the
message he's hearing, it appears.

(BTW, I have word of a well-known, controversial healer who believes
s/he could help Michael J. Fox. If anyone happens to have an 'open
line' to him, I'd be happy to make introductions on that.)
